Forum Advertising Rules

Thank you for your interest in an advertising account. Please read this boring page completely. Since you are agreeing to it, you had better know what you are agreeing to.

This account constitutes an agreement between you and me that we will each perform our tasks.

You, the advertiser, agree to pay an amount to Rubak Enterprises run by Josh Rubak to open your advertising account. This amount must be at least $9.95 USD but can be more. (Sorry, only US currency is accepted.) This payment goes into an account held by me. Your initial payment allows you to place text and image advertisements on the forum pages through the ad creation/editing pages. These ads include a link to send the person clicking on the ad to the website/destination of your choice. The ads are shown on a rotating basis with all other ads meant for that forum. When someone clicks on an ad belonging to you, your account is deducted for the set price of that ad. Those prices are currently:
600x90 - Top of Page - 10 Cents/Click
250x90 - Bottom of Page - 5 Cents/Click

Your account is not deducted when your banner ads are shown. They are only deducted when someone clicks on them.

As long as currency is available in your ad account, your banner ads will be shown. You may add any amount you wish to the account at anytime through the add funds pages provided on this website.

I, Josh Rubak (owner, creator and administrator of this website), agree to display the ads you develop on the forum pages requested by you as long as funds are available to pay for click-throughs. I will keep track of ads displayed and clicked and allow those statistics to be viewed by you. I use many methods to ensure that the click-throughs are done only by people and not by bots, or any automated systems. I will be in charge of the maintenance of this website, ad accounts and keeping track of the images you upload for your banner ads.

I will generally allow any decent ethical business to advertise on my forum site. However...

Either you or I can close your ad account at any time for any reason. Common reasons that might make me close an account is:

• Foul language (Don't use the "F" word in your ads)
• Nude images (People of all ages view this forum. Don't show tits)
• Obviously misleading/unethical ads (Don't lie about what they'll find on the other side of the click)
• Ads meant to deliver viruses or similar bad things (I won't be party to spreading those stupid things)
• Anything that questions my integrity (No scams pretending to be me)

A request to close your account can be done on this site. You account will be immediately closed and your ads will stop showing.

All funds that have not been used to pay for ad clicks will be refunded to you, regardless of who closes the account. The remaining balance will be sent via check (in USA dollars) to the address in your closed account.

Common questions

Q: Do I have to pay each time an ad is shown?
A: Nope. Your account is only charged when someone clicks the ad. That's the difference between "pay per click" and "pay per show" advertising.

Q: The items we sell are best suited toward a particular forum section. Do my ads have to be shown on every forum?
A: Nope. Clicks cost you and you want the most out of every click. It doesn't do any good to have martial art ads show on the time travel posts, does it? You can choose which ad shows in which sections.

Q: Aren't your forums scanned by search engines and other bots?
A: Yep. We want every forum available to the public.

Q: Won't those bots follow our ad links, costing us needless money?
A: I used many methods to keep as many bots from following your ads as possible. While I can't say 100% of your clicks will be actual people, the vast majority will be.

Q: What if I only have $0.05 left in my account? Will my large ads show?
A: All your ads, large and small will show until you go below $0.05 in your account. I'm not that worried over a nickel. I want you to get the most out of your ad budget. Besides if you go over by 5-10 cents, it will just be taken care of the next time you add funds to your account.

Q: I opened multiple forums at once and some didn't have any ads when they should have. Aren't my ads showing on every section I want?
A: As previously mentioned, in order to keep your money working at its best, we provide many safeguards to keep links being followed by bots. Why pay for Google to follow a link? So we keep ads from showing under certain conditions. One of those conditions is if the same browser opens a new forum within a few seconds. This method keeps index bots from following too many ads (assuming they got past our other safeguards).

Q: If we close our account, will you simply credit the amount left to my credit card?
A: No. Since the time between your last payment and closing your account may be longer than 1 month, and since the amount left may be greater than your last payment, This makes credit a credit card very difficult. When an account is closed, the remaining balance will be sent via check (in USA dollars) to the address in your closed account.
