What is Rmail?

"Rmail" is short for "Rubak Mail". This is the free "email" message system available to forum members. You can send and receive Rmail messages to and from any other forum member. You have free unlimited access to these messages through this website. Here's some questions you may have about this system.

Q: Why would I use Rmail?
A: For reasons of member privacy, we do not give member email addresses to any body else. If you want to send a private message to another member instead of posting on a publicly read thread, we offer Rmail.

Q: Who can I send Rmail to?
A: You can send Rmail only to other forum members. Because of this, you can obviously only receive Rmail from other forum members.

Q: Can I read Rmail with my email program?
A: I'm afraid not. Rmail is restricted to this website.

Q: I'm getting Rmail from a member I don't want to hear from. What can I do about this?
A: We offer an "ignore list" option, letting you state specific members you no longer wish to hear from.

Q: Will I get regular emails sent to me stating that I have Rmail messages?
A: Nope. If you have unread messages, you'll be notified only when you log into this site.

Q: Will I be able to forward a message to another member?
A: You'll be able to reply instantly, forward to anybody or even multiple members. The body of the message will be copied just like regular email.

Q: Will I have to look up certain members names each time?
A: Rmail gives you an Buddy List of members you communicate with, so you won't have to look them up each time. When you send or get a message from a member, you'll be able to add them to your Buddy List. To make things more secure, you can only add members that you send or receive a message from.

Q: I'm getting lots of Rmails that I want to keep. How can I organize them?
A: Simply make folders and organize them as you would regular email.
