A Random Thought
Written 03/11/2003 09:24:21 AM PST I’ve often heard that Atheists don’t have faith. This is untrue. The concept of "faith" isn’t confined to religion. The thing you must remember is "faith in what?".
When I enter a martial arts contest, I have faith (in my abilities) that I can win.
When I tackle a logistical problem, I have faith (in my reasoning skills) that I can solve it.
That we have faith is not the issue. People need faith. Faith is simply confidence in a particular something/someone to assist us when needed. The question is always "faith in what?".
I am available for seminars, debates, interviews or lectures about many philosophical, ethical, or religious issues.
Please contact me if you have any questions.
